The Skinny Magazine‘s Rock Shot and Pop Art Show in Vancouver.

Nearly 40 photographers and artists displayed their work at the Chapel Arts facility, while bands played both upstairs and down. In the downstairs room, which hosted the loudest, punkiest acts, interactive video using something called “kaleidoscope fractalization” by www.tryptonmedia.com broadcast psychedelic images of the bands playing on a couple of monitors.

Highlights included sets by The Living Deadbeats and Dizzy Eyes, as well as diorama boxes by Mad Dog (on display in the pool room) and pics by several Vancouver photogs, including Bev Davies and Dean McLean. The most-talked about photo was probably of Real McKenzies frontman Paul McKenzie from a Town Pump show in the ’90s. The photo reveals in no uncertain terms what McKenzie was wearing under his kilt – nothing.
