MNDR (Amanda Warner) opening for The Suzan and Chromeo on Chromeo’s Business Casual tour Feb. 11 in Vancouver.

Originally from Oakland, California, Warner moved to New York City in 2008 to work as a songwriter-for-hire. After meeting with sometime collaborator Pete Wade she decided to front a musical act herself.

She has also opened for Yacht, Massive Attack, Deerhoof and Shiny Toy Guns. She also collaborates with visual artist Jamie Carreiro, who provides visual effects for her live shows.

In 2009, Warner uploaded four songs on YouTube, and these made up the debut EP, E.P.E., released in 2010.

About Skot Nelson

After ten years in Vancouver and a lot of time rambling around the province, Skot’s managed to fool most people into thinking he’s lived here his entire life. A photographer and writer, he’s usually outside somewhere carrying more camera equipment than probably seems rational to a normal person. He’s more than happy to talk to you about your favourite band, but he’s probably just going to shake his head in amazement if it’s not Wilco.
