Hindi Zahra stopped in at the Media Club in Vancouver last night.
The show follows stops in Seattle and Portland for the French-Moroccan singer, with shows in Calgary, Winnipeg, Minneapolis and Chicago to follow, as well as Toronto, Montreal and New York (after a brief journey to South America).
Zahra has a couple of EPs and a Prix Constantine-winning album, Handmade (on Blue Note) on her resume, and has drawn comparisons to Portishead, Billie Holiday and Norah Jones.
