Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros in the midst of a North American tour for their latest album, Here.

The follow-up to the band’s breakout debut Up From Below, Here is apparently the precursor to a second album to be released later this year (though as of this writing, no release date has been announced).

Led by Alex Ebert, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros formed in Los Angeles in 2007. Up From Below has sold over 275,000 copies in the US, and charted on iTunes for 69 straight weeks.  The hit single “Home” soared to over 775,000 downloads.

In April 2011, the band embarked on the “Railroad Revival Tour” with Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show where the band traveled exclusively in vintage railcars across the American Southwest for a week and played concerts at unique outdoor locations along the route.

Other members include Jade Castrinos and Nora Kirkpatrick.

Brooklyn/Philadelphia band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah opened the show.
