Capture Photography Festival

The first Capture Photography Festival was held in Vancouver Oct. 1 – Nov. 15 2013.
The not-for-profit lens-based arts festival showcased the Vancouver photography scene with more than 50 exhibitions at museums, galleries and artist-run centres. The festival also held a competition over the summer. Photographers residing in B.C. were invited to enter up to four images in the Capture In Transit Competition. The winner of the People’s Choice Award for the competition was Christopher Edmonstone, a frequent contributor to these pages.
Snipe photog Kirk Chantraine attended several events, including Anspayaxw: an installation for voice, image, and sound at the Satellite Gallery, the Edward Burtynsky talk and book-signing, and more. Check out the photos below.
