Iron and Wine play a sold-out show at the Commodore Ballroom Sunday Nov. 3 in Vancouver. The band is on tour for the fifth full-length Iron and Wine album, Ghost on Ghost.
Led by Sam Beam, the band included a three-piece string section featuring two violinists and one cellist and three female backup singers along with a keyboardist, drummer, and bass player. A two-piece horn section alternated between saxophones, oboes, and flutes, “all while showing off some old-school, Motown-style choreographed dance moves,” according to this review. The same review mentions that Iron and Wine played the Postal Service song “Such Great Heights”.
