Opening night at the 2014Â Vancouver International Burlesque Festival at the Vogue Theatre, Vancouver.
The three-day festival ends tonight (Saturday) at the Vogue. You can find out more at vanburlesquefest.
Headliners this year include Kitten Navidad, who made a name for herself in Russ Meyer movies; Canadian burlesque legend Judith Stein; Perle Noire, a veteran of the burlesque circuit, including touring with a Dita Von Teese show; and more.
According to the festival’s website, opening night saw a host of Vancouver-based performers, including: the VanDolls, who ran through some of their Video Game Burlesque routines; April O’Peel and Miss Fitt; Ariel Helvetica; Burgundy Brixx; Connie Cahoots; Faye Havoc; Johnny Bottomsworth (from Victoria); Lydia DeCarllo; Rita Starr; Ruth Ordare; Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society; Vanity Feral; Veronica Vex; Villainy Loveless and Just Call Her Heather; Voodoo Pixie and Arnt Arntzen; and Voracious V.
