Contest – win two tickets to Arkells in Vancouver, Feb 20

We have a pair of tickets to give away to Arkells‘ sold-out Feb. 20 show at the Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver.

To win, leave a haiku (a three-line poem; doesn’t have to rhyme) in the comments section below using the word “Arkells”. The best haiku will win the tickets. The winner will be chosen at noon Feb. 19 and notified via email.

The Hamilton, Ontario band is on tour for its latest album, High Noon. Vocalist Max Kerman has this to say about the album and current tour:

“When we toured Canada for Michigan Left, we hit the road two weeks after the thing came out. No one knew the damn words yet to the songs, and it just wasn’t as fun.

“For High Noon, we kept putting off our Canadian tour to see if people were connecting with the record, and at least had time to get familiar with the tunes.

“So here we are. We swore we’d never do another winter tour in Canada, but the timing just feels right… so off we go. These are our biggest shows yet, and we couldn’t be more keen to play.”
