Alan Doyle at the Vogue Theatre on Friday night.
The Great Big Sea frontman is on tour for his second solo album, So Let’s Go, released earlier this year. It follows 2012’s Boy on Bridge.
Doyle is also an actor, as well as the author of Where I Belong, a book about his upbringing in Newfoundland and Labrador.
He is joined on this tour by his band the Beautiful Gypsies, including Vancouver musician Kendel Carson. The show opened the 2015 Vancouver CelticFest.
