New Vancouver music – Supermoon release new EP, Playland
Supermoon is gearing up for its next release. Playland, out Friday (May 20) on Mint Records, offers up eight more fuzz-pop workouts from the Vancouver-based quartet. It follows the band’s debut EP, Comet Lovejoy, which features melodic gems like “Powersuits”.
Though just two years old, and with only the aforementioned (cassette-only)Â EP under its collective belt, Supermoon has already been written up by SPIN, Vice’s Noisey, and Consequence of Sound.
To celebrate the release of the new EP – which will be released on a double-7″ single – the band plays a show at the Astoria Thursday, May 19. The bill also includes Woolworm, Dumb, and Shrouded Amps.
