Jessie Reyez at the Vogue Theatre Thursday night in Vancouver.

The 27-year-old Toronto singer/songwriter released her debut EP Kiddo in 2017. It featured the song “Gatekeeper”, and was nominated to the 2017 Polaris Music Prize Long List. Earlier this year she won the Juno for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Her latest release is an EP, Being Human in Public.

In a review of the new EP, Variety.com says “… Reyez performances are hard to resist. She’s raw and real, with freak-folk-R&B songs that have frank-as-f– lyrics and an in-your-face delivery that’s difficult to look away from.”
