Video–JAN, ‘All of These Igloos’

Following the release of her self-titled debut LP on Nov 13 via, JAN has a music video for the track “All of These Igloos”.
JAN is a new solo project by singer Kim Talon, who is also known as the latter half of the Los Angeles duo Eagle and Talon. Talon recorded the album with producer John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, The Gossip, Sleater-Kinney) in Seattle’s London Bridge Studios.
The video for the track “All of These Igloos” was released earlier this week. Directed by Matthew Robinson (whose credits include videos for the duo JOGGER), it features a synchronized dance routine by avant dancer/choreographer Jasmine Albuquerque. The pace of the routine is synchronized with the melancholy rhythm of the song. The continuous piano plucks amidst the sweet melodies induce a state of hypnosis.
In American Songwriter, Talon described the single as a “breakup lullaby inspired by the imagery of the Canadian North, where I am from… ‘All of These Igloos’ is a song about self sabotage, heartbreak and isolation.”
