Your bands and role/instrument:Â Lead singer/guitar player in The Abramson Singers.
What’s your cat’s given name?
Buster P. Kitten. The “P” stands for Pants. He has cute little pants on his back legs.
What’s Buster’s origin story?
Buster was born in a woodpile in Maple Ridge. Some friends were fostering him and his two brothers, and I couldn’t help myself. He was the most social of the three and snuggled me right away. He’s a little bit feral, but super friendly.
 What does Buster eat?
Buster enjoys wet food, venison, raw salmon and kibble (if there’s nothing else around).
 What do you think your cat’s theme song is?
My former roommate made one up: “Now is your chance to bust your pants…” It’s really catchy, I swear.

Do you have reason to suspect Buster is hatching any incredible schemes at the moment?
Always. I’m pretty sure he has a secret life in the neighbourhood. As you can see at the end of the video [see below], he’s got friends. We get neighbourhood cats in our house sometimes through the cat door. Buster doesn’t really mind, he just hangs out and watches them eat his food. He also comes home with his nose scratched, so I know he’s been up to no good.
What is the most impressive thing that Buster has murdered?
Besides a few big rats (that he thankfully left outside), I once came home to a starling, alive, inside the house, perching on the indoor clothesline in the basement. It was huge, and injured, and to get it outside again I had to chase it around the house. I felt pretty bad about that one. Thankfully he’s too smart (or scared) to pick on the crows. He has a bird bell, but it has limited results.
Where is the last inconvenient place you have found Buster napping?
He got stuck in my laundry hamper for a few hours, and I didn’t know where he was because he was just napping. Eventually he started meowing and trying to claw his way out.
What type of music does your cat listen to when he’s getting ready to prowl?
Marvin Gaye.
If a genie showed up and granted your cat three kitty wishes, what do you think they would be?
1. Unlimited supply of fresh birds.
2. A running faucet of his own.
3. Unlimited snuggles from everyone (he kind of already has that).

At this moment, it’s unclear whether Buster will be accompanying Leah and her band on their UK tour, which begins Mar. 14. But we are sending them all of our hometown love for the shows.
