Quilt at the Media Club in support of their second album, Held in Splendor. The band is near the beginning of their tour for the album.
The Boston trio recorded Held in Splendor in New York. Of the new record, Pitchfork said: “Held in Splendor is a good example of a record that successfully executes the tropes of psych–it sounds like it could’ve been recorded in 1967 without directly ripping off any artist in particular–without every truly transcending them. In order to do that, Quilt will have to make an even more ambitious third record. Given its evolution thus far, they are well on their way.”
Anna Fox Rochinski, Shane Butler and John Andrews formed the group while they were all visual art students at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. They released their debut in 2011 on Mexican Summer.
