Youngblood opening for St. John, Newfoundland’s Repartee at the Media Club Friday night.
The band is fronted by Alexis Young, who cites Air, Grace Jones, and Nancy Sinatra as influences on the Youngblood website.
Prior to Youngblood, Alexis played keyboards in Vancouver indie dance-rock band Sex With Strangers.
Youngblood’s five-piece band features members of Gay Nineties and Fake Shark.
“Easy Nothing”, their debut single, was produced by Kevvy Mental (Fake Shark/Carly Rae Jepsen). An EP is due out this summer. The latest single is “Feel Alright”.
