Those of us scouring year-end best-of album lists saw a few of the same ones popping up over and over again. One of these was Psychic, the full-length debut from Darkside, a collaboration between electronic musician Nicolas Jaar and Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington.

The duo stopped in at Fortune Sound Club near the beginning of their 2014 North American tour.

In an Exclaim! review of Darkside’s Jan 15 2014 show at Lee’s Palace in Toronto, Ian Gormely wrote, “Stretching songs to twice, or even three times their normal length meant that the pair only made it through half-a-dozen tunes before the night ended. Still the band’s first Toronto appearance proved they were more than capable of translating the complex music of their debut to the stage while still moving butts on the dance floor.”
