Au Revoir Simone at the Electric Owl in Vancouver Saturday night.

The Williamsburg trio is on tour for its fourth album, Move in Spectrums. The band is made up of Erika Forster, Annie Hart and Heather D’Angelo.

The band was in good spirits as, on a stage framed by Halloween decorations, it played tracks from the new record as well as 2009’s Still Night, Still Light. Forster acknowledged that Au Revoir Simone hadn’t been in town since that record’s accompanying tour, when they played a bar that is no longer there (Richard’s on Richards: it was one of the last shows at the fabled venue. See photos and a review of that show here).

Vancouver singer/songwriter Jody Glenham opened the show with a solo set that included her new single, “Dreamer”.
