OMD kicked off their 2013 North American tour Friday night in Vancouver.
The long-running British new wave band is touring in support of new album English Electric. The record is the follow-up to 2010’s History of Modern and OMD’s 12th album to date.
English Electric was written, recorded, produced and mixed by OMD – Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys. The record is said to be a return to form for the band whose 1980 hit “Enola Gay” was resurrected for last year’s Olympics Opening Ceremony.

Previous OMD albums include Architecture & Morality (1981), Dazzle Ships (1983) and Crush (1985), which included the song “So In Love”.
